Sewing is over for now, sorry.....

This is the first time I've ever had to totally stop sewing for other breast cancer survivors, but as of today, I'm going to have to take a break.  My husband recovered somewhat from his pneumonia, but then took a downward turn after a bit.  Turns out that the pneumonia brought another serious problem to the doctor's attention that now has to be fixed.  He is very ill, and cannot be left alone for very long just now.  As you can imagine, neither of us gets much rest, so I'm going to try to sl...

Long overdue update!

Hi folks!  Well, just wanted to let you know I'm still alive, lol... though a lot has happened since last last May's post.  Let's see...the heart problem was finally resolved somewhat by medication, then about the time I was feeling all 'indestructible' and starting to work on painting in the house and trimming some trees outside again, well, hubby got sick.

Who and Why...


My name is Mary. I'm a survivor of breast cancer. After bilateral mastectomy and chemotherapy in 2007, I'd thought everything would be fine when the last chemo treatment was done and my hair grew back. But, there was so much to learn before being comfortable again! I'm still seeking more solutions to the mastectomy issues that so many of us share, and wrote this website to hopefully help others skip ahead on the learning curve.
